As much as I absolutely love pay per click in my business for super fast results and great profits, I will NEVER stop article marketing for traffic and inbound links etc.
You cannot overlook how powerful article marketing can be for your business right now, and unless something really drastic happens I cannot see this trend going away anytime soon, articles have had this power for years now and long may it continue, here are some tips to supercharge your article marketing efforts and have your profits grown massively:
1. Perform adequate research. Without this step you are destined for a life of wasted hours on your article marketing efforts, thorough research allows you to not only form your own thoughts and opinions on the topic, but enables you to write freely and smoothly on the topic as you increase your knowledge base. Not only do you gather plenty of information to write from and form opinions but you also open your mind to the niche and get in touch with the target marke and exactly what they want.
2. Creative summary, teaser or article introduction. On many article sites including EZA you will find that you are allowed a 300 word introduction or teaser box that will show up in the article listings database when people are searching for information, so many marketers overlook the true power of the article summary, but when your article appears in the search engines you will often find that the summary is what the google searcher sees first, so if the title and summary don’t cook up an emotional storm then you are losing that reader instantly.
3. Write initially for the reader and in the second for the search engines. I know this sounds a little crazy when we are looking to get good search engine ranking, but with the advancement of search engine intelligence, it really does pay to write for the humans who are going to be reading your work, mindlessly stuffing your articles full of your keyword will just not do.
4. Spend plenty of time on a good call to action. Having a compelling and strong call to action is almost the most important section of article marketing, you can provide the most in-depth, descriptive and helpful article on the face of the earth, but without a smokin’ hot call to action you really will struggle for conversions and your time will again be wasted.
When writing articles for marketing, it’s good to remember that each article has the reader following a journey from title to conversion and everything in between.. so if any of the elements are not fluid with the others you will hit trouble and if you leave one element out or have it a little faulty then it is almost like dropping a fallen tree in that journey. Which equals lost readers.
