I was reading over at the warrior forum this morning about a few things, and one thing that popped up was a comment about the difficulty of affiliate marketing, well not so much the difficulty of it, but specifically what reasons people have for either not doing as well as they expected or failing to get miving. The two reasons were lack of action and decision making. And whilst these are two VERY broad assumptive reasons, I think it’s fair to say that they can be drilled a little bit find more or to evaluate why they come up so oftne as reasons fro a lack of success.
What I wanted to make clear was the fact that because they are sooooo broad they can pretty much be applied to any problem or stumbling block, especially decision making.. regardless of circumstances, if you fail at something or don’t do very well…you can put that down to decision making and that the decision you did make was a “bad” one or the wrong one.
So the discussion seemed to be heading nowhere but into a spiral of conflicting views, when superbly inserted by a member was the simplicity of things, and that is:
Our goals as affiliate’s is to find people hungry to buy something and give it to them, providing you do this coupled with action, then you will see success. You see this is my core message over at affiliate xtreme, and although the poster on the forum put it in different words… the concept is simple. Internet marketing is just another medium for which to sell things to people who are looking to buy.
There is absolutely no reason why you should ever attempt to persuade or convince anyone, you simply need to find people looking to make a purchase and put yourself in theĀ middle of that and I guarantee you will see sales. For years now, products have been sold and services rendered a sa result of cash changing hands, and regardless of the “complexity” of certain solutions with running a business online, the concept is the same and can be simplififed to this at most stages of the cycle.
I can fully understand that people may find difficulty with focus, action and putting plans into place, but providing you can overcome these little mini hurdles, then you can bet your bottom dollar that with adequate research and a proper understanding of how simple things can be…you will prosper. That’s not to say it is easy, but it is simple.
