Blog Monetization Series: Your Own Product

What better way to make money from your blog, than having your very own product, .pdf, e-book stylee?…

It is soooo easy now to get your mind working on topics from a blogging point of view, that it takes not much more to piece together 10 or 20 of your hottest golden steps that would really bring value to your readers, and then sell it on your blog as a .pdf/e-book.

A paypal button, a download link … and you’re on the road.. well, maybe not that simple..lol.

But seriously, if you are taking the time to blog consistently on a topic, I think it’s fair to say that you can put together some of your best work and sell it, the reason being that some of your best content will either be..

a) Too good to be given away for free….

b) Spread so wide across the web that it would be beneficial to your readers to have it in a nice little e-book for future reference.

And that is what makes this option for blog monetization so valuable, you see, you can blog to the hills about your topic.. but sometimes your readers want your hottest tips right at their fingertips and on their desktop for reference… and more importantly: EASE of reference. People love having things easy and to hand when they need it, so much so that it is worth paying for in droves.

I know for sure I have purchased WSO’s of content that has probably come from the creator’s previous work, but it doesn’t matter… why?… ease of reference with the material. I would always recommend that you should shot for adobe acrobat if you intend to create .pdf’s.. but if you really don’t have the cash right now for it, then have a Google around for a free version of eWriterPro.. it is for sale around, but you can find it for free if you dig around a little.

Using your own product as a monetization method gives you greater control over what value you are giving to your reader, but also shows them that you not only put time into providing your content.. also charging for your work shows that you value your work enough to charge for it, which I personally think is very important…

I love giving away free content, but some tricks are worth too much…

I think the main aim is to generate revenue, but don’t be greedy.. do quick $7 reports and have them easily accessible.. this way you can do new ones, new content, new ideas and keep a constant stream of income from several products, that you can’t only profit from.. but can brand them for viral distribution too..

You are limited only by your imagination with your own product…
