Hey folks… today I come to you with a question from one of my much loved subscribers from this blog and my newsletter.. I’m not sure if they signed up from the blog or from my outside marketing..but they certainly read here because I plug it enough in my newsletter..lol..
Anyhow, today’s question is:
Dude… I’ve been picking products on Clickbank that have great gravity, and ones that I see other people doing really well with.. I’m creating squidoo lenses, blogs, hubpages, and articles but I don’t seem to be getting any results at all… care for some guidance here…I’m struggling?????
::sigh::
Now, first off… I have responded already so I am not simply lambasting this guy here in public and I agree to help that extra little bit to get my guy up and running…
BUT!!
My first question back is… what have you done with the free reports I gave you when you signed upto my newsletter??… Have you applied my research advice?… locating a NICHE first before picking products?…
Picking products first is one of the most common mistakes made by n00b marketer’s.. and I can’t stress enough the fact that you MUST find a hungry market and then source a product for them which solves a problem or fills a need, want or desire for them. You really have to dig right back and get into the shoes of your potential customer before firing products into the mix..
Now don’t get me wrong.. it is a VERY real possibility to hit on a new product or pick a product and just run with it, but first you need to master the PROCESS that is involved in market research and movement, so that you can establish an understanding of how the purchasing cycle works etc.
Knowing your target market is the single most important factor in fully testing a niche, if you don’t know and understand your potential consumer,how on earth are you to know if your test results are worthy of review?… you may be feeding the wrong food.. like steak to a vegetarian.. and your results would be flawed.
In summary… you have to learn the process.. the process is what counts at first..like I outline in my free reports and newsletter, and without blowing my own trumpet..it does break it down real well.
This thing is a marathon and not a sprint in which you can learn soooooo much by getting stuck into research on your target market. It helps you to understand EXACTLY what they want..and then product selection becomes much easier.
