Affiliate marketing is similar to operating as a salesman who earns a percentage of the sale as commission every time he sells some one else’s product. As an affiliate marketer, you can also earn money from other people’s products. The main difference between online and offline world is, the ability to put your message in front of millions of people simultaneously…even whilst you are asleep. And the best part is, And there isn’t the hassle of going door to door visiting strangers who may not even be responsive to our message..

A few simple steps to kickstart yourself as an affiliate marketer:

1. Find a hot, profitable market. You can simply check the market profitability by visiting:

eBay.com/Amazon.com, and browse the around the subject/category which relates to your niche. 2. The synchronise that with a hot, in-demand product to satisfy the needs of those people your market. You can find an affiliate product by joining for FREE some of the more popular affiliate network like cj.com, clickbank.com, paydotcom.com. Check out the sales page of the product and analyse what message it gives…you need to be happy in yourself that it fits..after all, YOU are the one who will be recommending it as a HOT product. Make sure the product’s profit margin is high enough. You don’t want to take huge amount of efforts for a small return or only get a few dollars per sale.

3. Construct a squeeze page. A squeeze page is a simple one page site designed to gather visitors details if they are interested…usually with an autoresponder service like Aweber. Then you can connect with them by sending a follow-up email series. A well-designed squeeze page can convert exceptionally, and capture the real potential buyers’ information, instead of freebie seekers. People will only “subscribe” if they are VERY interested and you have something to offer them..e.g they want to know what’s in it for them?…

4. Prepare a useful follow up campaign in your autoresponder. You can use a follow up email series to build a relationship with your subscribers. What you do now is similar to the off-line salesman, but you don’t need to personally call them or visit their house. Even so you can build just as much trust by providing good quality content for them regularly. By using a well-written follow up email series to build relationship with your subscribers, it could save your time and identify theprospective customers who really show an interest…one phrase that is used often in affiliate marketing is…the money is in the list…meaning the list of names you collect in a niche, and that is ever so true if you are honest and professional in your approach.

5. Drive targeted traffic to your squeeze page. This is the most important section of the whole process… because driving traffic to your squeeze page isn’t as simple as traffic is traffic, you wanthighly targeted traffic of people who are actually looking for what you have to offer..it’s no use driving people who are searching for a T.V. to an affiliate offer on say… a health and fitness product, is it?… you need targeted visitors… who are in the late stage of the buying cycle..
