This is a question I get asked often and and it always perplexes me… That question is… Is it more difficult to do affiliate marketing in the UK than it is the U.S.?

And my answer everytime, is the same….HECK NO!!

It is a common misconception by people looking to get started in affiliate marketing that we will experience difficulty seeing strong results in the U.K. and that simply isn’t true. It is clear that there are one or two minor issues to overcome, but nothing that can’t be resolved with a little smart thinking. Certain things like waiting for cheques to arrive from the U.S. based affiliate programs and merchants. And with the switch to direct deposits become ever more prominent this isn’t really an issue for those in affiliate marketing in the U.K.

Also there are a whole load of decent, honest affiliate marketing merchants who operate on a Paypal payment basis and you can pretty much get your pay into a Paypal account on the specified date. Such as MarketHealth who have a variety of products in all different markets and pay promptly via Paypal.

And that is just one example of the many that have this option or alternatively direct deposit for the affiliate marketers in the UK who may not be able to wait for a cheque/check. The main starting point for products and probably the easiest is Clickbank, a sort of middle man for merchants and affiliate’s. It is FREE to sign up and you could be promoting digital products like e-books and software in as little as an hour!

I have been marketing affiliate products and my own products now in the UK for quite a while and I can honestly say I have never had any of the problems I initially worried about and have always found the support of various customer services teams very helpful.

A little story if I may… I earned my first $4.99 on the internet a good few years back and I was blown away…absolutely extatic, my partner Leah couldn’t understand why I was so excited over such a little amount, after exchange rates and a charge here in the U.K. it would come out at about £2 GBP… But that is when I understood fully that the 25 visitors I sent to that affiliate offer were miniscule in regards to the thousands if not millions of visitors I could potentially drive in the future, and that is where the magic began for me.

The internet is a BIG place and has unlimited possibilities for those that stay smart and take massive action. Your U.K. location should have no bearing on the results you have, it certainly didn’t do me any harm
