It’s all well and good me here preaching about traffic generation and how to use mainstream platforms for free etc and blah, blah, blah for traffic… But what we often overlook in our search for traffic, is how to properly make that traffic perform on cue for us when we get it there…
20,000 visitors to your site is useless if it doesn’t convert into product purchasing sales, right?…
I know it may be cool to see your stats and traffic increasing, but if your account doesn’t increase as a result, then all that effort is wasted, obviously it isn’t necessarily about product sales.. this could be aimed at getting opt-ins onto your list.
What I mean is that we have to aim for an MDA(most desired action), from our visitors… or we are just pushing traffic.
How do we do this?… with sales pages/letters/squeeze pages/landing pages….BUT….
Aside from the regular old list of benefits.. we can do with sales pages certain things that allow us to further let the customer justify in their mind that the following purchase is to be worthwhile. The three following tips don’t apply to sales pages only, they can be on your pre-sell pages, squidoo lenses, blogs, articles etc..
Here are 3 killer methods to add pull to your sales process:
1. Testimonials - Otherwise known as social proof and recommendation.. if you have happy customers already then it shows that your product(or the product you are an affiliate for) is worth buying and has done the job for somebody else already. The potential customer is looking to justify the purchase in their mind, so this helps do that –GENUINE TESTIMONIALS ONLY!!!!
2. Scarcity Writing - Recently displayed in Frank Kern’s launches and that of others.. known to boost fast sales through the “fear of loss”, if a customer is ready to buy then they will be more than ready to snap your hand off if they think they are going to lose out on what is a fantastic offer. It is important to stick with the plan if you employ scarcity in your offers.. if you say 10 left, the you sure as hell better only sell 10.. don’t increase this later or you’ll have some unhappy folk on your inbox asking WHY?. The best way to do this is with limited offers, like 100 copies only, or a countdown of how many sales to go before the product gets removed from the market.
3. Bonus Offering - What better way to invite sales than to add a bonus onto the end of it. Most customers expect you to value your product precisely, so if your product is $97 and you thrown in $50 worth of bonuses, then this already cool offer becomes extra inviting and encourages the reader to grab it now. Remember, if it is your product, then bonuses can come in any form..audio, video, .pdf or even personal chats etc on Skype or IM’s..
There is no limit to what YOU can do to make more sales from your current traffic!
