3 QuickFire Niche Hunting Tips For You…

By Jamie Holt | September 7, 2008 .

Finding niche’s is the first step to making money as an internet marketer, without a niche to focus on you are pretty much just spinning your wheels and hoping to hit it lucky with any product you can find to promote, choosing a niche first and doing adequate research will put you in a much better position for having success:

Niche Tip 1: Try taking a look at eBay pulse, the scope from this site alone is huge. It is like market research central for products that are selling right now on eBay. If a product is selling in big numbers on eBay, then you can bet your bottom dollar that there is a cool niche market for you to investigate around that product.

Niche Tip 2: Amazon: The top 100 bestselling list on amazon.com is a surefire way to see what area’s are hot at the moment, the power of knowing which book’s are selling now is huge. Pick the top 20 and then allocate a niche to each title, all the time looking for a core reason as to why a certain book wold be selling so well.

Niche Tip 3: If you take a stroll over to Google trends on a weekly basis, you will have no shortage of hot topic’s to look into and research, you can e sure that if a niche/market is getting exposure on that site then there is plenty of buzz around the internet about it for you to jump into and also some interesting data for you to look at and analyze.

This was from a recent article of mine and if I am completely honest I will admit that I always start at these 3 sites when looking at niche research, they are focused on consumer purchasing and habits of the consumer so they are a prime location to get the mind flowing with ideas…

I always say that to get maximum results you ave to put the consumer first… so go find the consumer and their needs before you even begin looking at products.
